RAIN is a reliable wireless network architecture for large-scale multihop mesh networks. A RAIN network enforces contention control by limiting the queue length at intermediate wireless routers to the minimum, and enforces congestion control through in-network implicit backpressure to mitigate the queue overflow problem. We have implemented the RAIN network architecture in both network simulators and a indoor mesh testbed. Experimental evaluation is on-going.

Seda is a streaming datalink layer designed for wireless sensor networks. It decouples framing from error recovery, so as to achieve both high utilization of the wireless channel bandwidth and effective error recovery. We have implemented Seda under TinyOS.
